I know for a fact 1994-2001 1/2 ton 4x4 models used chrysler 9.25 axles in the rear. Im not sure what axle the older or newer models used.

You misunderstand, the 9.25 has been around since 1973 or so. The ring gear was the same up until about 1985-1990, somewhere around there, then they changed the design slightly to what is used through today. Let's try this, whats the part #?

Hope this is what you need. I boughtthis ring and pinion for my truck which isa 1998 1500 4x4 but dont need it anymore.
