Default Picking Up My Charger Tomorrow!

I'm trading in my '07 Nitro for an '06 Charger. I'm excited, even though I'm adding 35k. I've been drooling over them ever since they came out, and I couldn't resist the deal. This thing is loaded (although I'm going to miss my aux jack). I was hoping to get something with better gas mileage (aren't we all?) but I've been a Dodge girl for a while and Altima's just don't compare, lol!

They're fixing some leaky seals (I can only assume that's the tranny leaking stuff I read about). Anything else I need to watch out for?

LisaW,

Did you buy it in Houston? Just curious, I traded mine in, and it fits your description. If it is, I may have some extra parts for you.

I wish. I'm in NY and buying it in Syracuse.

I could've sworn the guy said they were fixing leaky seals, but when I called back they said they were fixing the steering rack, brake pads and other minor stuff.

You'd think they'd do that before they let people test drive them. [sm=boosign.gif]

Yep, I did get the Hemi. I'm a little nervous about the gas mileage. I had an '03 Ram with a Hemi and the gas mileage left a lot to be desired. I'm hoping the MDS will help on the highway. I drive pretty conservatively so I'm not stomping on the gas pedal at green lights or anything.

Does anyone know if using the Auto Stick will help get better mileage in city driving? I know using it turns the MDS off, so I wouldn't use it for highway driving.

One of my friend's husbands used to work for New Venture Gear and actually got us a discount on my husband's Durango when we bought it. He told me yesterday I was crazy for buying a Hemi with today's gas prices. (He just bought a Taurus, lol.) I told him at least I'll look good on my way to the pump!

Welcome, and congrats on the Charger. Don't let the gas mileage naysayers bother you. If you look at a lot of the pickups and SUVs, even some of the small SUVs, you'll see that you will be able to duplicate, if not BETTER the mileage they get. I actually looked into possibly trading my 06 Charger for something that got better mileage. Even the Vision and Taurus are not that much better, so why give up the performance for, what? 1-2 mpg? Good luck. Hope you love yours as much as we love ours.
