Default Water leaking into passanger side

I have water leaking into the cab on the passenger side. It seems to be coming in around some plastic under the dash which i believe is the heating/cooling tube. The problem only exists when it is raining, so somehow rain is leaking in from somewhere.also it seems that the only time water leaks is when I turn or accelerate/decelerate.

I had this same problem with my 98 jeep cherokee in the exact same spot and never figured out what it was. the water eventually ruined my carpet and rusted out my floor pan.

I need to figure this problem out quickly before my carpet is ruined like inmy jeep.

well it could be your heater core, but since you sat it only happens when it rains it could maybe be that the windshield is came unsealed at the bottom. or maybe a firewall grommet is leaking

it may be the heater core. It is definitely not the winshield. how should I figure out which one it is? rip the dash out?

Check the wetness of your carpet for signs of antifreeze. You should even be able to smell antifreeze if the puddle is wet enough. I seriously doubt it is theheater core. If the core was leaking, youwould have this problemall the time, doesn't matter if it rains or not.

Otherwise, it may be possible the leak is coming from the area around tube. Double check for seals broken, etc. You can get a garden hose and try to spray up from underneath the body and see if anything starts to leak in.

well it is definitely leaking from the top up under the dash, because i have seen it leak. its a slow drip. I jusrt threw baking soda all over the carpet and floor mat, but that will only last so long. it is supposed to rain today so maybe i can narrow it down
