Just curious if you guys or girls (Shibby included)ever noticed that when filling our trucks up, as soon as the pump clicks off you can't fit anymore fuel in the tank? I am sure most have. On my old dakota and my Phuckus, when the pump clicks off, you can always fit another buck or two in the tanks. This new truck if you tried doing that, you are gonna have gas either all over yourself or the side of the truck. New tank design or something, I am guessing? Anyone have the same experience or know what was changed?
yeah, but its actually a good thing. if you try and put more gas in, it can overflow into the charcoal evap canister, which is bad. usually its best if you just leave it when it clicks off.

What ever you do, DO NOT pumpEXTRA gas into these new trucks!! I did it and 2 days later my engine light came on. I took it to the dealer and they said it happened due to something with the vaccum and it taking on TO MUCH FUEL. They almost charged me for it, but they said since it was my first time and I had no clue about it....they decided not to.
What sucks though is even after they shut the light off and coded it....there's a damn extra dinging noise now when I turn on the truck....along with all the other dings that go off when you start her up anyway! bah!

Yeah I have noticed that on mine also. I usually just let it fill up til' it stops and then round it to the nearest 10 cents and I haven't had any problems. I can usally get 360 miles out of a tank still.
Happens on y 06 Too! i took it too dealer they checked fuelline and vacuum hose said everything was fine.... Of course I still have the same problem. I can see the fuel in the filler neck by the time the pump stops! Ive tried lots of stations same thing!
i fill mine right to the very top. in 06 they changed the way of the neck design. also if you look at the filler neck and see the little flap that closes off the spot opening. this is what causes that early shut off. mine has a different type which allows me to fill it the top of the neck. i belive there is a tsb for this, something about the flap in the filler neck
