Sound when pressing on gas pedal

Hello,

I have a 2001 4.7 dodge durango and i am having the following problems

Problem 1

Every time I drive and accelerate I feel and hear a clunking sound. Once I am driving I hear nothing but if I slow down or take my foot off the gas pedal and speed up , I intially here and feel this clunk sound ???

Problem 2

Secondly , I hear a squeaking sound when I drive and lately when turning it makes a constant squeaky sound. I spray WD-40 on the drivers side underneath and the sound goes away but evry 3-4 days it starts up any idea ???

First question:

Is your D a 2WD or 4WD? If 4WD, is it a AWD? If AWD or in 4WD mode, it may be the transfer case disengaging/engaging causing the clunking sound.

Second question:

Where exactly are you spraying on the driver's side to temporary eliminate the squeak? At the shocks?

usual cause of the squeaking noises is worned out swaybar bushings. Bushings are OEM replacement only at this time, otherwise you have to go and find and fit custom bushings.

It is a 4wd but not AWD or in the AWD mode when I hear the sound. My brother had the vehicle for 6 months and he did say he thought
my PS pump was shot . He said when it he drove it when it was cold one day the steering locked up !!! and occasionally he heard screaching sounds but not the clunk I am talking about. Could it be a CV joint ?

The second Question:
For the last few weeks I spray on the drivers side behing and right in front of the drivers side Back wheel.
