I did the one on the pcv side first. I bought one from the neon store before i found out I cound get one from the hardware store for $20.00. It's ok, it holds a lot more oil and compliments the CAI in the looks department.
Thanks for your help.

i 'm sort of confused here about this occ ,is there actually 2 of them that need to be installed ?and if so just exactly where does the second one go?[i know one goes to the pcv]the link for this modification is very good but it only shows where the pcv occ goes.any input on this would be greatly appreciated.?

topcop441: between the valve cover and the intake on the drivers side. if you have the stock intake you don't need one, the valve cover line ends at a filter in the intake air box. definitely need one if you install a short ram or a cold air intake. valve cover>>>cc>>>intake.

It used to cost around 20 bucks, and it depends on where you go and what area you live in how much things cost. It cost me about 30 for everything

Location: Seattle Cost: Around $30

Couple of questions:

1. The OCC resevoir is plastic & had a sticker on it specificaly stating not to be used with synthetic oil. Should I be worried?

2. Where did you mount the OCC between the valve cover & the intake? (Any pics?)

I mounted the the other one exactly where Dusty (think it was him) did in his pic (zip ties & all), so far so good. There is already oil building up in it. Makes me wonder if I should check the oil level (if any) in my intercooler for I drove about 30k without the catch can! (Why didn't I install it sooner!?!)

All in all it was EXTREMELY easy to do and made for a good little Sunday project.

I will post this yet again: Auto Zone has them in their Campbell Hausfeld section, it's a mini all purpose air filter, part # MP5138. It is only $12.99, but you will need to buy the hose and fittings as well.

If any new owners out there are curious about what one of these OCCs actually "catch", here's a pic of a Campbell-Hausfeld (Lowe's) mini filter after about 300 miles of mixed driving. This ones mounted on the passenger side (PCV). Glad this stuff didn't go into my intake.

Jimmy

(hope the pic made it into this post)
