I don't believe the sport bumper cover will fit a non-sport bumper. #1 on the LMC Truck page above is the chrome bumper and #2 is the reinforcement to mount the sport bumper cover.
I'm not sure, but if you got the reinforcment piece and replaced the bumper with it then you might be able to use the sport bumper cover. I'm to new to 3rd gen to know whether there will be grill/headlight fitment issues. Someone will have to chime in if there is.
EDIT: I believe on the 2nd gen you would have required the reinforcement, a couple of brackets and a new grill. I don't see any extra brackets or the call for sport/non-sport grills in the LMC catalog for the 3rd gen, but you get the idea.
