I have the infinity 7 speaker system in my 2003 regular cab ram, id like to install an aftermarket head unit. im wondering will this work with the infinity amp or do i have to relay or bypass sompthing. id like to keep the amp working rather than bypass around the amp any one do this yet???

if i'm not mistaken the amp is on/in the speakers. Our 2000 Dakota quad 4x4 had that system and I was told I would have to replace everything. Hopefully for you they changed this setup.

^^^ no. you can keep the infinity system. all you gotta do is go to an audio dealer and have them order a factory amplifier integration harness for the truck. if you cut the wires and splice like normal you are gonna cook that infinity amp from metra the bypass harness is 706512 but they should make an integrate harness as well.
