Infinity System, Aftermarket Head unit??? - 5/16/2008 6:37:37 PM    DaytonaDakota   Posts: 32 Joined: 11/1/2007 Status: offline I have the infinity 7 speaker system in my 2003 regular cab ram, id like to install an aftermarket head unit.  im wondering will this work with the infinity amp or do i have to relay or bypass sompthing.  id like to keep the amp working rather than bypass around the amp  any one do this yet???  Post #: 1

Our 2000 Dakota quad 4x4 had that system and I was told I would have to replace everything. Hopefully for you they changed this setup. (in reply to DaytonaDakota) Post #: 2

RE: Infinity System, Aftermarket Head unit??? - 5/17/2008 10:59:49 AM    IdahoDodge2001 Posts: 9 Joined: 12/1/2007 Status: offline I did exactly what Hemikidd was saying to do I havent cooked my Amp just dont for get to hook up the blue amp power wire otherwise you will not hear anything.  I have had my set up for about 6 months now.  I just cut wires and put a harness in and put the deck in really easy but do not forget that blue wire cause my truck has the infinity sound system and I forgot the wire and thought my deck was messed up.
