You're gonna need it I hear silver paint is less aerodynamic and makes your truck slower! Nah j/k with ya I hope you enjoy it.Should look good under the hood.
question: according to the K&N website, the 77 series adds 7 horse, but the 57 series adds 9. why spend more for less power.

and sorry shibby, but the only thing less aerodynamic than a dakota, is a 3.7 dak with a F'd up front end.

Yeah I know, I read that too. The price was right at 240 shipped, though, I basically like the looks of the polished aluminum and I doubt I'll even notice 2 horseys.

Btw, can anyone confirm this, I remember reading awhile back about resetting the computer parameters, all that needs to be done is pull the battery cable and turn the key on, or it was something like that. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks again guys
pull the neg cable for 20 ish minutes... Turn key twice... put cable back on... turn key from off to run 3 times (do not start it) after the 3rd rotation you should hear 3 "dings"... start it up and let it learn.
one other thing. when you first get the fipk. assemble it on your kitchen table. that way you see how everything fits, before you start tearing into the factory system. should look like this when fully installed. and with the chrome intake, you wont be able to relocate your iat sensor.
