my truck got stuck in the mud last week and the next thing u know its sliding into a tree.  Gpt jacked up pretty bad.  May need a whole new bed side panel.  Wondering if anyone has used body filler before??? Is there too much damage??? Anyone know where in can find a cheap bedside panel b/c the estimate was $1,900 .

Go get you a $39.95 dent kit from NAPA, Northern Tool, Tractor Supply, etc.  Comes with a couple small ball peen hammers and other tools for banging and pulling dents and dings.  Then sand, prime and paint.  You should be able to get to most of it from inside the tire well.  For about $50-$75 total investment, you'd have 90% or more of that mess looking like new again...

Actually here's one for $22 at Northern Tool, so you can invest another $15 in a dent puller and have a nice set for under $40...

The only problem is that most of the damage is a huge scrape across the panel. it may be hard to pound it back and its not ver accesable.  Anybody ever used the dry ice technique for larger dents???? Also, what could i use to paint.

damn dude that sucks...it got your back door too.

by the way i got me some dry ice....and that shit doesnt work.....when you do it, it looks like it actually pulled the dent, once the frost thaws from your paint and you rub it clean....fukcin dent's still there. im not saying not to try it....but i was just letting you know from my experience on monday...and after finding out that it didnt work, i put the dry ice to good work and made little bombs lol

i'd say it could be a DIY if you have the time, but you have some hard edges in those dents. like where the cab/head of the bed is and that crease going down the side to the fender.  good indications that the metal is stretched.  you can hammer all you want, but it will still show.  someone good with a torch may be able to pop and shape, but then you have to paint. bondo always sucks. it's only good for feathering and smoothing not filling.  if it were me i would get it done professionally and never have to worry about it again.

Did you ask the tree if he has insurance? Hopefully he's still around maybe it's not too late to get his information and file a claim against him.
