What would be the best option for getting a cruise control unit added to my 07 Caliber SXT w/ the 2.0L engine and CVT? I'm not an expert mechanic, but I have done some work before in that regard on my previous car, a 95 Eagle Talon TSi. With reports I've seen of $300+ for the dealer to install, being a cheapskate I'm not opposed to a little elbow grease to save some money (though, considering the stuff I've seen on eBay is like $200-ish, with shipping and such, it may not be that great a savings to DIY).

Well, from the factory it is a 250 option, at the dealer it is 475, but i told the folks at my local dealership that I wouldnt buy a car from them without cruise. ( I drive long distances) So, i got that in the deal for 250 total. It isn't the hardest thing to install, but you got to make sure you have all the neccessary parts, tools, and patience. My car was a previous fleet car, so I don't know why CC wasn't on it to begin with, but anyway. I got CC installed on my 07 cvt sxt 2.0 and love it.
