i dont want to start a war her but i thought that i would post my experice with amsoil. if you like it great but its not as good as they claim. once again i am not tring to offend anyone.

i went to new smyrna fl. for a race about 2 years ago. there was a car there that had amsoil for a sponser and was running the amsoil in the whole entire car. i knew this because i had my pit stall right besidee his. well to make a long story short 52 laps in the race he was behind the was with a burnt rearend and tranny. total cost for repairs was somewhere around 10 grand. a new quckchange rear end it self goes for 3,200 bones, not counting ring gear, seals, axles, quick change gear, and everything inside that burnt, and the tranny was so bad that there was no saving it they had to buy a new t-10 tranny anmd then send it off to get the gears cut ect ect.may i remind you that this was 52 laps in the race and everything was full with new amsoil. before the race and nothing leaked out. so be cautious when you buy. the problem wqith most synthetics is that its hard for them to dissipate heat, but on the other hand it takes them a while to get the heat because of the lubriciticy. but the wont dissipate much heat. once again not intended to make anyone mad or to step on toes

It would be interesting to see an analysis of that oil. To see if it truly was the cause. A complete failure like that doesn't mean its the oil always. If that was the case, you'd see every race team blame failures on oil.

a sythetics ability regard heat are far superior than any other oil. Its a common misconception that they can cause problems.

take care

Kale

just a question for you bluemoose89, but why are you always negative on dodges and anything that somebody says that could help out in the mechanical department. Plus how many dodges have you ever owned? Sounds like only one, you took off running away from your problems. All manufactures have problems when they MASS produce vehicles, not just dodge, every now and then you find 1 out of 100s of thousands, not every dodge is like the one you had!

OK here I am again I don't want to do this but I have too. Besides the 2 ram 1500 (2002 1998) that I had rears blow out of. I am on my second neon (the 2000 went through 3 power steering pumps) my 2003 neon I just figured out last night that the damn ABS does absolutly nothing. Great another trip to the horrible dodge shop (stay away from county Dodge in pennsylvania) See I have had alot of dodges and I have had nothing and I mean NOTHING but problems. I guess Mommas old pooch aint runnin LOL. Sorry I had to. I think I am gonna stick with my mustang for awhile. Yea I know found on russuian dump  Fix or repair Daily F***ed over rebuild dodge But in the case of my mustang its usally   FIRST ON RACE DAY.

to answer your questions here you go.

why am i so negative on dodges? because of numerous problems and lack of power, and overall truck strenght.

and that could help put in the mechanical department? i was just stating my experinces with amsoil. it was just another side of the story and wasnt intended to offend anyone. as stated in my earlier post.

how many dodges have you owned? 3 the first one was a lving nightmare, i thought it was a lemon so i got another one but in an automatic. it was ok ran good no problems but i didnt like the lag in the tranny. and the third my dad owns now truck runs good with no problems but the 24valve with anything over 10,000lbs cant get out of its own way. it took and extra full day to get to key west florida.

I'm new to this sight, but it's cool to find one where everybody can give their opion. After 34 different cars in 16 years im sold on Dodge. Always grew up around MOPARS.I currently have a 97 RAM.It's a 5.9 4x4 short bed standard cab red sport. I bought it new in 97 and it now has 56000 miles on it with absolutely no problems. Mods so far are a 6 inch suspension lift, two inch coil spacer, and three inch body lift. It rolls on 38.5x15.5x15 superswamper radials on 15x12 mickey thompson challenger rims. All parts of the lift, arms, shocks,u bolts and track bar have been chromed. I installed a billet grille and billet fog lamp covers and limo tinted the back and side windows, plus billet antenna and clear front corners. I try to keep it looking clean by not bolting on too much stuff. Inside i have a billet pedal kit,2 12 inch Kicker solorbaric woofers,2 6.5 mids and 2 titanium tweets powered by a 1000 watt kicker to the woofers and a 400 watt for the mids and tweets. The cap and fuse block is mounted under the drivers seat on a custom rack and the front of the speaker box is 1/2 inch clear plexi with 1/4 inch red on top to give it a red neon glow at night around the woofers and the amps that are built into the box. I have a sony deck with a kicker eq right now but im going back to an eclispe deck soon. The dash kit has been molded around the deck and eq and is color matched to the truck, and the speaker cloth behind the speaker grilles on the door panels are also red. Thats it for interior. The bed liner is a light grey spray in by speedliner and has been great with no fading or peeling in 6 years. Only engine mods are a KnN inbox and 3 chamber flowmaster. I had a Jet chip and had nothing but problems with it so it's gone. The truck more then holds it own on the dunes in pismo where i live. Sorry to hear that not everybody is happy with their rams, but every brand has their lemons. My leadworker has gone through 4 trannys in his powerstroke and 2 turbos, and my buddy had oil leaking from every seal in his brand new Tahoe to the point Chevy bought it back as a lemon, so its not just Dodge.

too loud? i don't
think i understand the question. a guy down the street has them on his
4.7L and its fairly loud, not loud enough for me, can't wait to get
them for myself after christmas. ive had those mufflers on two
vehicles, soon to be three, i personally love them.
