Well,

So far I have installed a factory direct K&N replacement air filter, Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs, and that's about it.

My beast is a 2001 Ram 1500 Quad Cab SLT Laramie running...ACK...3.55 gearing with an auto/od trans, mated to the 5.2 Magnum. As with any Laramie, this puppy is loaded.

I have decided that future, hopefully not too future will include the following...a nice redneck type dual exhaust out the rear; some type of front grill protetion, whether it be a full push bar assembly, or a "bull bar" type installation. Not to mention the unforgettable tool box (polished diamond plate of course) and the Cobra CB, with firestick antenna attached to the before mentioned tool box. I am seriously considering an upgrade for the ignition system. However, I am requiring research be done before committing to any one type of installation. Time is money and time is precious. I hate doing things twice because something wasn't thoroughly thought through the first time.

I mean, come one now, I love my truck, I love my truck...come on everyone...let's do the "Happy Dance"..."grab life by the horns", cause we all drive a Dodge...

No really, I have alot of things to consider...wants, desires, needs, etc...

Keep it real, Areswolfe
I'm "computer stupid" when it comes to things like posting pics but I will see what I can do.

As for the basic look, it will be sporty but I am more interested in performance than looks. I do plan to put a 2/4 drop on it. Does anyone have pics of a regular cab 1500 with a 2/4 drop? Any other recommendations?
Im glad someone out there besides me likes performance over looks :)

If your going to put a liner in it, go with rhino liner all the way

33"x12.5" Super Swamper TSL's for Christmas, Nerf bars, Grille guard, undecided on roll bar, and further down the road, a 7" suspension lift.

Still playing with my Jeep right now.

I think you are our first avid off roader!! Lifted 4x4s with a lot of black or chrome (depending on body color) piping is one of the best sites to see!!!!

Well I live on an island where there is not much to do except SCUBA Dive and go off-roading (unless you're too drunk to do either :)).

I definately agree with you about the lifted 4X4 being a pleasing site to see.

Not to mention that you have to have 4wd to drive on the majority of our roads here.

Hey there...

Just bought a bright red 99 SLT Quad Cab with 62k miles on it yesterday afternoon up at the dealership.  I was looking at 2003 Dakotas then saw this beauty sitting over with the newer big boys and it called out my name.  I had the sales guy get the keys for me and I hopped in and cranked it over.  OH MY GOD!  It sounded so awesome.  Turns out the first owner strapped on some Flowmasters and it was the most wonderful sounding 318 I think I've ever heard.  So... I rounded up the wife, signed the papers and drove it on home.  It's absolutely mint in and out with stock and power everything.  Has a great locking Pace Edwards sliding retractable waterproof bed cover and a great "cowboy style" Rhino lining job.  I'm not going to do a thing to the exterior.  Might change out the Goodyear rubber eventually, but, will spend most my money under the hood.  I just love a sleeper, even though the exhaust music will give it away.

Glad to be here.

Got rid of my 96 F250 Extended cab 4x4 on Friday and thought I'd never get another truck as nice as that one... well, I did!  AND BETTER BY FAR

Patriot1876 - CONGRATULATIONS!! Isn't great when you meet 'the one'? That's how I found my truck, I worked at the dealership and they knew I was looking for a Black or Red Ram Sport 1500 5.9, and they got her for me. Anyway, mine had a chip in it, but that's it. I've spent lots of time on the exterior, and some engine/exhaust upgrades, but I prefer the sleeper look too... :) Can't wait to jump in and get a BIG engine mod like Headers... LOL!

So, post pictures of your newest family member!!
