View Full Version : Complete Prothane bushing kit! neon527 05-15-2008, 04:54 PM what would be the ups and downs on having this kit? does anybody have them? spudsterier 05-15-2008, 05:32 PM i bought 2 cars in the past that have had them installed and i installed 1 kit on my own car.... the main pro's is that you will get tighter steering and the car will be more responsive around corners... con's....cant thing of really any neon527 05-15-2008, 05:35 PM great to hear! thanks! 95to96transplantneon 05-15-2008, 05:38 PM The only con i can think of is ease of install... lots of them fit well but there are a few bushings that are harder to install like the rear lateral link... granted I have never installed them but I see other people asking how the hell do i get these things in the rear lateral bars... jfink 05-17-2008, 08:40 AM there are a few bushings that can be trouble-some. And it is time consuming. Still worth it though. Just make sure you use PLENTY of the grease. Didn't use enough now the bushings squek every time i turn. spudsterier 05-17-2008, 09:41 AM i didnt have any problems with the lateral links on my car...they went in as smooth as could be, however, getting the lateral links off the car was a different story.... and the front control arms.....those bushings took alot to get out....though the easiest way ios to just burn them out with a torch.... jfink 05-17-2008, 05:02 PM Spud please dont remind me; I'm still trying to forget.:( |
