Yea thinking i need the exhaust already. lol.  So what's the best place to get one.  I am gonna be looking in my area for a custom shop but my biggest choice is muffler i guess.
Do most of you guys get them from custom shops and fabbed up for you or do you order kits from a company like flowmaster?

I want something that will sound good yet be ungodly loud.  like wake the neighbors up loud type thing.  no noise laws in my area or where i normally drive so w/e is fitting the bill i'll do.

was thinking i want to go full stainless so i don't ever have to worry about rust but i figure that's pricey but to be honest if that's what I want i'll get it.

I've heard the Corsa and Zoomers Cat-backs are awesome. they have vids and sounds of them installed on their respective sites. Zoomers are really good I know for sure. I have a friend who had a Zoomers exhasut put on his 08' Charger (5.7L) and it's amazing.....the sound, power, and torque are great!

I'm getting a magnaflow 14" muffler installed on mine tomorrow. I wanted the 11", but they dont come in the size I need.  so I'm hoping the 14" will be good.  I had the 18" on my dak and that was really loud.

I like my Flowmaster 40 but if you live nearby your neighbors it's very possible to wake them up pretty easily just firing it up and having it idle.

I had my exhaust custom made but with a Flowmaster 40 put on.

Ain't but one to get for loud and unrestricted flow, and they are not expensive at all - CHERRY BOMB!  Disturbing the peace since 1968!!!

The Vortex is a modern chambered design with awsome sound for about $80.

The classic Glass Packs are cheap, like $40 and have the best sound I've ever heard.
I had them on a '73 Nova SS and it was bad a$$.  Never really considered them for my Hemi, but I've now heard it and when my almost 4 year old Flowmaster starts to wear through, it Cherry Bombs for me...

I'll consider the cherry bomb and the flowmaster.  anyone used aero before?  soem clips of them on hemis and 4.7L's on youtube and they scream like a demon as well.

I like the idea of custom fab but I don't have access to benders or anyting other than welders and maybe a bender on a few occasions and I like doing my work myself.  so might have to get a prefab kit that fits my size stuff and put it on myself.

CherryBomb Vortex is the way to go.  Hands down the best sounding exhaust for the Hemi motor. I have heard about every muffler from Flowmaster and others and in the end I put on the CherryBomb vortex dual exhaust. It has the deepest/throaty exhaust sound without much in cabin drone. Very polished but mean sounding without the crackle and rasp of the other well known mufflers. It makes the Hemi sound incredible!! I have also heard the same system with the Cherrybomb pro muffler and it is abit louder (teethier) sounding than the Vortex.  Construction/fit and finish of the new Cherrybomb mufflers are excellent.   I am working on a good sound byte of the Cherrybomb sound. I have not heard a good or accurate sound byte on YOUTUBE that accurately captures the Cherrybomb Vortex or Pro sound.  Closest good sound byte is on the show "TRUCKS" when they used a Cherrybomb for a few of their builds.

For a really good sound thats extremely loud, the ONLY muffler that you should consider is the Cherry Bomb Extreme. It sounds sick on the 4.7 and it pisses everyone off except for gear heads who appreciate loud exhaust. I get alot of complaints from the neighbors. Mines dumped off the muffler. NJ just banned cell phone use while driving. With the Extreme, I don't have to worry about it because you can't even hear yourself think in the cab

BTW, the Extreme is a single chamber race muffler. Mine is ~ 6 inches long. Its comparable to the Flowmaster 10 and it blows away the FM Super 40 in terms of loudness

At first, I had a FM American Thunder system on. I exchanged the 50 series FM muffler with the SI/DO Extreme which I had clamped to the rest of the Flowmaster system. I then decided to get rid of the FM pipes behind the Cherry Bomb muffler so I had 2 turndowns welded right off the muffler. I have a RC so the turndowns are behind the cab which means no exhaust fumes.

The turndown are also much cheaper. I paid $5 each for them. Pipes that go to the back are pretty expensive.

With the turndowns, its a little louder outside, but a hell of a lot louder inside. I drove my dad up to Placid before I dumped the exhaust. He survived but had a massive headache for a day. Now that its dumped, he wont even get in it. Its so loud inside he can't even tolerate a 10 min ride

There is a dude on the 2nd gen side getting a Cherry Bomb Extreme put on right now.  He's going to do a sound clip when he gets it back...

I haven't had any problems with turndowns. Just make sure its dumped behind the cab so exhaust fumes dont get inside. I'm running a completely stock setup from the engine to the muffler. I have stock manifolds and stock cat etc. I have a pic of it I'll post up in a few hours if u want. I'm in school now and photobucket is blocked. Unfortunately I don't have any sound clips yet.

Mine is 3" inlet 2.5" dual outlet.

I will warn you tho... you might lose a little low end torque due to loss of backpressure. All crazy loud exhaust systems are like that. I really didnt notice it. At the end of the day, it is no slower, sounds insane, and theres still enough torque to do crazy burnouts
