I am having steering problems again.

If you guy's dont remember, I needed to have my steering shaft replaced at 25,000 miles, because it was creaking upon steering.

Now,  at 28,000 miles, my steering is becoming a tiny bit stiff on and off.  Everything sounds normal, no signs of a bad pump or anything...but I fear its the rack.

Sometimes the steering will get stiffer then normal, it could be in mid-turn, or it will be a little stiffer then normal on a long wide turn and go loose again, and then i find myself having to adjust how much im pushing so I dont over-steer on the turn.

Its not stiff like i dont have power steering.  It will just go a bit stiffer every so often while driving, and then i have to steer harder.  Can't figure this one out, but it is getting sort of problematic, and seems to be more frequent lately.

Can my leveling kit effect the life of the rack?  Or maybe I'm just having horrible steering component luck?

I don't fully know how the rack and pinion steering works?  Can the leveling kit even effect it in any way?

Now I am going to sound dumb.  The power steering fluid is at the add mark...after the engine was cold (over night).

I never thought I would be low on power steering fluid at 28,000 miles but I guess anything is possible.  It looks as though it spilled over and down the pump somehow....the lines seem fine, doesnt seem like a leak.  Wonder how that happened?

Anyone need to add power steering fluid at 28,000 miles?

No,  but I had to at around 40K...  mine was doing the same thing, and I checked the fluid level and it was just below the "add" line...   Hasn't done it since.

Ok good.  Yeah i got some ATF +4 fluid and added it just to the full line, which took very very little, and the problem seems to be gone.  Is that right?  Or should I add more?
