Well got my $200 find home yesterday, drove it off the trailer and the antilock and brake lightboth came on on the dash. Checked the fluid and added some. Looked for leaks and could not find any, anyone have an idea of why both of these lights would come on or at least a starting point of where to look and how to get them to go off?
The brakes work they are just a little spongy. Any help would be appreciated.
Truck isa 1992 Dakota 2 wheel drive with a v-6 and auto tranny.

I know a common cause of this is a faulty rear wheel speed sensor. It is mounted on the top of the rear axle.

Well I let the truck sit out on the concrete and low and behold a dang leak was discovered. Looks like the line going up the frame rail is leaking! I guess I will replace the lines and then see what happens.

Haynes manual says the following:
1. make sure the brakes, calipers, and wheel cylinders are in good condition.
2. check the electrical connectors at the control module assembly (under dash passenger's side).
3. check the fuses (in engine compartment?)
4. follow the wiring harness to the speed sensor and valve and make sure all connections are secure and the wiring isn't damaged.

if above fails to the stealer!

probably the leak not letting the system have enough pressure, but my little yellow pressure sensor went out, the one that screws into the proportioning valve, and all i had to do was get another one. try unplugging it and see it the lights go out, that will tell you. and if you need a new one the dealer wants 80 dollars for it, so i went to the j yard and got one for free. and i would never take a truck i bought for 200 dollars to the dealer, or a new one for that matter!!!
