Traded my 98' in this weekend.....

For an 04' 1500 laramie QC 4x4 hemi.  Wasnt even really looking, just happened to stop and look at some used ram's to kill some time while waiting for the autoparts store to open up to start buying some parts for a few much needed repairs.  Long story short ended up getting a bargain i just couldnt turn down.  I hope the guys over in the 3rd gen are half as knowledgeable as the 2nd gen.  It's been a good experience as a 2nd gen owner.  Anyways, here she is:

Your decision makes no sense to me.  Except for the leather seats.

Nice new ride. I just did the same thing about three weeks ago. Got bored, took a hemi for a ride and ended up with a deal I couldn't pass up.

Four real doors, almost 100k less miles, the 98' was in need of repairs, more power, i dont know what doesnt make sense about that.

Nice ride man!!!! You'll find several very knowledgable guys in the 3rd gen section, not to mention the guys who own 3rd gen diesels. All in all, I think you'll find tons of valuable knowledge over there.

David, aka Parts/Service, is also a moderator over there, as well as Steve05Ram360 and Drew....and two of them are diesel owners

Still, there are several other 3rd gen guys who know their shit and will be happy to toss whatever info they can your way...

I plan on doing the same thing once my truck is paid for.  I'd rather have the four real doors with way less miles then what I got now, but needed a bigger truck at the time I bought the Dodge.  Hopefully I'll have it paid off by the end of this year.

Funny Enough I drove that truck at dahlstrom motors not that long ago. It was a good ride and well was just wanting to feel the difference between the hemi and my good ole 5.9L V-8. I liked the truck but since my wife worked at Lithia Dodge in Grand Forks I had a good deal if I wanted one. She is a nice riding rig that is for sure. good luck man.

Nice truck.  Good trade.  Congrats!
Stop back in the 2nd gen section from time to time though.

Really that IS pretty funny, what are the odds.  I see you live in grand forks, I currently reside in Fargo...nice to see another ND member on the forum !!

Silver_dodge:  Thanks, I will be sure to stop back here now and then to see whats happening, and help answer any questions i can.  This 2nd gen section rocks...I learned alot about my truck from you guys over the years, and hope to learn alot about my new one over in 3rd gen
