I am putting a new hood on my 1996 Dakota Sport, and i cant figure out how to get the entire windshield wiper blades off!

Pictures would be a awesome help but words are just as good!!!!

using a flathead screw driver pull out the pin on the base of the wiper arm (it looks like an L shaped piece of metal sticking out), after the pin is pulled keep the wiper arm aimed upward and use the flathead to pry the arm off (insert the screw driver between the wiper assembly and the the 'spline' assembly and twist and off pops the arm, to get the cowl off, remove all screws, lift and apply backward force to remove
