Default power to amp/subs

i had a 2000 watt nitro amp and it burned out so i replaced it with a 1500 power acoustic and now i cant get power from battery to amp the green power light is on also replaced the wiring kit to a 1500 watt kit also check ground and radio but tested the fuse holder and no power between fuse holder and positive onbattery and ideas

From what you described, it seems like a fuse is blown, missing, or the connection between your power wire and fuse holder is loose.

Also try taking a small piece of wire, and jumping your battery power terminal on the amp to the remote terminal and see if that works. That was the problem in my truck, and I had to re-run a whole new remote wire from the h/u

yeah i thought it was the amp the first place so i replaced it with a power acoustic 1500watt and now it doesnt get powerall the way from the fuse so ireplaced with new 1500 watt amp kit and the only thing that comes on is the protection light the green led and it has a brand new fuse holder also eve put olf fuse holder inand still no luck.

your protection light is on?? how did that come on if you dont have power from the battery?? how are you checking your wires to read no voltage? and if your protection light is on, that means you have a shorting problem. since the amp is new and you cant get it to work, the protection is not on because of a thermal shut down. that means there is a short somewhere. and since you have power to the amp( or else the light wouldnt even light up) your amp wiring is good. so.................................did you check to see if one (or both) of your subs is blown?? if the sub blows bad enough, the speaker can ground itself out between the negative and positive lines of the speaker and create your short that puts your amp in protection mode. hope this helps.

OK THANK IFOUNDTHE PROB. I WAS MISSING A WIRE THAT TIES INTO THE IGNITON WICH IS RED TO PRIMARY 12V YELLOW INTO THE RED/WHITE WIRE AND IT POWERED UP THE AMP,WOW!
