Default underpowered dakota

greetings all. I am driving a 99 dakota sport, club cab. this thing has a 4 banger, 2.5 liter engine. it was a mistake for dodge to ever produce this truck, and an even bigger mistake for my father to invest in it. now i have it, and it is slow as heeell. i want to get more power out of my engine, for not a lot of money. what can i do?

im considering gutting the interior and remaking a lighter one, if anybody has suggestions for this. i think weight is the biggest problem so any ideas to lighten up the truck would be appreciated.

also considering an exhaust, or perhaps eventually even a turbo? anybody have info on this?

i will be posting engine pics soon.

put a V8 in it....gutting the interior isn't going to help anything. 4-cyl dakota's are worthless.

if you find a 300zx turbo for cheap ask them if they have more than one, and let me know...

but for the dakota, how about a little bottled hp?[8D]
