I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L v6 +250K.[:-]
I recently replaced the water pump. We started it up and it ran great. Let it run for 30-40 min to seat the pump, then sut it off.
Started it up the next evening and it knocks/ticks between the rear 2 cylinders on the drivers side, and runs with the oil light on.
When you start it, it sounds like a monkey with a hammer. But after a few min it gets softer. Not quite a knock, but louder than a tick.
Sluge? Rod? Lifter? Rocker arm?[&:]
