Default RE: blow off valve question..?

All SRT-4s come with a blow off valve. However, the aftermarket ones like the "blue plate" Mopar BOV vent to the atmosphere to make the "pssssssshhhhh" sound. Installation is a bit of a bear, especially if you have big hands. 3 1/2 years ago my dealer charged me $85 for the install. Use some gasket sealer on one side of the gasket to help prevent leaks..........Also, there is a "sticky" at the top of the SRT-4 Section on "Installs"......good info there on the Mopar BOV Conversion Plate......

Default RE: blow off valve question..?

if you get technical it has a bov. in reality it's just a surge valve and not a "real" bov. neiter is the rice plate though. if you want a "real" bov you need a block off plate for the stock surge valve, and a cold side hard pipe with a bov mounted on it.
