Factory Radio Question

My 06 Dakota has the standard single disk CD player, I'd like to purchase a used 6 disk MP3 player.

1) Will this swap easily, same harness, mounting holes, ect?

2) Will I need an un-lock code for the radio?

the "swap" is a direct replacement.  same harness and everything.

You shouldnt need an unlock code,  but in the event that you do,  just ask the prior owner.

I just pulled a 6 disc out of my new 08' Dak, last week. I upgraded to the MYGIG NAV system. If you are looking for a deal on one let me know. I supose thats provided the 08's and 06's are compatable. Its brand new, I just bought the truck a couple weeks ago.

I think the 08 radios are different...   maybe not though.   I will call a shop to see if tehy need different kits.

Dodge radios do not have an un-lock code.....

Mercedes do though...  right?   lol

I was told by the local audio shop that they "take the same install harness and dash kit"

so they should work...    But again,  I am not 100% sure.  I am relying on someone else's word and not my own research on this one.

The 08 radio(s) is/are different than the 05-07 models. Hell, the entire dash, other than the instrument cluster, is different.
