Hey guys new member here, well I rescued my 98 avenger form her uncaring owner, she has some bumps and burses and a two factures but mechanically runs great.

To get to the point, before I bought the car it had the factory fob and worked, then it was stolen. I bought it and bought a new radio and speakers because thats all that was taken, but the fob doesn’t work anymore and the neither do the locks after getting it back a couple of weeks later though I can hear the relay in the driver side b pillar clicking…

My father in-law use to be the viper tech at the dodge dealer but sale cars now so we plug the scan tool but didn’t have much time to look around since he cant do that kinda stuff anymore. I do have access to the tech connect dodge/chrysler website through my father inlaw but for that old of a car not much is available.

If anyone has other ideas or have experienced this let me know, I will try to reprogram the factory fob and replace the relay, but aside of trying that has anyone else had probs with the door lock switches, security module, pcm, or anything else relating to it, its both doors that don’t work so I kinda ruled out the lock mechanisms and switches.

I'd check FUSES first as when they stole the car they might have shorted the wires and blew a fuse
