Towing hitch wiring question - 5/6/2008 9:27:46 AM    greenmtnK5   Posts: 4 Joined: 7/2/2007 Status: offline 2000 5.9 114k installing aftermarket class III hitch Curt Manufacturing Part No.  55381 pulling form vermont to colorado 900lb u haul trailler 8' x 5' My D does not have the factory tow pkg as far as I know Which wiring harness will I need ? T connector? do i have the factory 7 way plug? This is mostlikley the only time i will be pulling anything should i bother having a tranny cooler installed ??? Thank you for your help   B Post #: 1

If you look under the drivers side frame by the spare tire there should be a 4 or 6 wire installed. Use this and install a plug onto your D. You will need to hard wire. Your owners Manual should give you instructions.  There should only be the regular wiring consitering the truck was regular and not tow ready. BTW<------Check close for the wires.
