[sm=feedback.gif]i bought an 86 datsun longbed pickup witgh astock 1700cc motor and i was wanting toput a 3.8L ford motor that came out of a station wagon.
the motor was planned for a 29 modelA rat rod and i decided to put a v8 in a 500lb car to make it more fun lol
anyways the motor needneeds anew timing chain and i was planning on making my own motor mounts and fitting it into the datsun its a 5 speed now but i doubt that the ford motor will bolt up at all to the datsun trans...anyways what r your idea on this and give me you two cents
its gonna be a gas truck untill i get more money then im gonna build up the original motor and add no smaller then a 57 mm turbo but thats when i get to college lol ill take pic of it today and add then later tonight
Cool cant wait to see it. I wish i had a project but I was being picky and now the money I saved for it is going toward paying off bills. Not fun but needs to be done.

We dropped a 305 Chevy motor in our old Chevrolet LUV pickup years ago, and a chevy 4.3 in a early model toyota 4x4. We were able to locate an adapter kit for the toyota swap. My buddy did a Nissan, with a Buick V-6. He said this article gave him the inspiration to use the Buick motor. Maybe it will help you also. http://www.the620.com/620tech.htm
