CV joint maybe???

Hey, very weird problem here.

When driving under 20-25mph there is no sign of the problem.

Once I get above that though I have to keep the pedal slightly pressed at least in order for the sound not to be there. But if It decelerates you will hear this clunk about every half a second almost all the way until you stop. The gear that the transmission is in seems to not matter. Also, not sure if it's related by seems sort of like the same sound when I go over a hard bump.

Unsure if it's the transmission or CV joints or what. Problem doesnt get worse or better while turning, seems like in reverse though it will cause the problem to happen (but unsure cause it's so minimal).

I had the same problem in another car that I had, and it actually worked out
that my tire was loose and when I got up to speed it would kind of straighten
out and not make any noise, but when I stopped it would make a nasty rattling
noise...might just check your lugs to see if they're on all the way and also check
your spindle nuts!

If this isn't the prob, hope you find & fix it soon!

Check you ball joints.They will make noise as the wear out.Mostly heard going over bumps and braking.

The car does make a clunking sound when going over bumps but I really do think thats a different problem. It is something to do with the wheel to the tranny suspension wise though. I can put it in neutral and even shut the car off while driving and it is still there. The problem is more consistent the higher the speeds (only been 60mph) and when I brake it gets slower until I stop. Again though, while giving it any gas at all, the problem clears right up, it's only when I'm not accelerating at all. And I cant seem to duplicate the problem except cruising/decelerating above 25mph.

Take the car to the dealer for the FREE ball joint recall ... They will check them/replace them ...
You should also check the hub assembly jack up the car and try to move the tire grasp the tire and try to wiggle it ... the hub assembly has the wheel bearings and gets loose

Are you talking like, from side to side (not the way the tire is rotating) correct? Because I have jacked up the car and it seemed like there was an unusual amount of play when turning the tire back and forth, but I dont know it's probably normal.

Will try that out his morning and call Dodge to set up an appointment.
