i have a 2000 5.9L Durango with about 150,000 miles. I have been getting a code from time to time that is Missing Cylinder #4. The first time I replaced the plugs and wires and it went away for about 10,000 miles. The light came on again, I checked the plug, it was cracked so I replaced it and the CEL went out again and stayed for another 10,000 miles or so. Well, the light came back on, the plug seemed fine but I replaced it anyway. This time the code did not go away. It is always Cylinder #4. Any ideas?.....thanks for the help.

Have you replaced the cap and rotor yet. Do so with brass contacts not the cheap one.

Wires should be OEM from the dealer or MSD 8.5mm only.

I bet you cracked it by accident. How do the plugs look when pulled out and also what gap are you using?

Thanks, I'll order a cap and wires from Mopar and try that.
