In a notice received at our Dealership (Shadeland Dodge / Indy) it reads...The excitement continues to build with production starting this week for the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8! This notice is dated 5/1/08. We have a scheduled ship date of 5/8/08 for the first of 3 that we have allocation for. Sometimes Chrysler gathers the specialty cars in a storage lot so that more of the dealers get them around the same time.

As for '09 ordering, apparently that info is scheduled to dealers by 6/1.
