Was MIL code 45. P0753 (M) Transmission 3-4 Shift Soleniod/Transmission Relay Circuits An open or shorted condition detected in the transmission 2-4 shift solenoid circuit (4-speed auto. Trans. Only).  P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit An open or shorted condition is detected in the Transmission Relay control circuit. This relay supplies power to the TCC. P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL Circuit Current state of solenoid output port is different than expected (4-speed auto. Trans. No, nothing is unplugged, everything is plugged in, I made sure. I did notice this, the solenoid assembly seemed to sit a bit higher but I can't get it on anymore, than it is... I am not sure if this has anything to do with it. I know 4x4 works, but this harness didn't have a 4x4 so I left it off. The transfer case just won't tell me if it's on or not Is my guess, but I could be wrong. Do they some how interact? Yes, on the transmission and overdrive assembly, there are three electrical connectors. For some more troubleshooting procedures, go here. RE: 42re - 5/9/2008 10:47:39 AM    middleriggle   Posts: 14 Joined: 12/4/2007 From: Pittsburgh, PA Status: offline I don't know if this helps you at all, I'm in the middle of swapping transmissions for my V6.  I have a friend that works at a dealership for dodge/chrysler tell me that a 42re will only work right behind a 3.9.  Any V8 would have had the 46re.  And that dodge also changed transmission electronics between model years, So I had to find one that was from a '97 model year.  I may be wrong, but just forwarding the info I was given.  I don't think the electronics match up and that could be why.
