well i nailed a deer with my truck 70mph sunday night about 8:30 pm on the interstate. Its head hit the headlight and it rolled down the side of the truck. The main thing it tore up was the bedside i'll post some pics in just a minute

that sucks, but could have been worse, at least it did not go through the wind shield

yeah and i have full coverage insurance on the truck its just a major inconvinience. The pictures really dont do it justice though and there is a lot of hidden damage. like the plastic around the gas cap is shattered and the headlight assembly's brackets are broke and the front bumper mounts are bent. its nothing really major but it does look worse in person

Hey DodgeDakotaLover, I was wondering what sort of MPG you get in your 5 speed and if it was lifted at all? I have pretty much the same exact truck, color and everything, but with a 3.9l single in single out instead with about 5 inches worth of lift. I have been averaging from 15-18 over the last year or so. I was thinking about throwing a 5.2 in there once I get some cash this summer.

Sorry to hear about the wreck, one question, was there anything left of the deer to eat??
I have a 98 sport, 2wheel drive, 5 speed, long bed, and I took on a pine tree.. tree won... but it was fixable.
Good luck getting it back in shape.
