I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced their stock master cylinder 15/16" bore with a master cylinder from a 1500 which has a 1 1/8" bore?  If so did it help increase the brake pedal height any?  Did you have any problems or tips on a swap out?  I can see that the master cylinder for 1996 1500 has the same line fitting size as my 1996 Dakota has.
Or if I do this will I creat a world of problems?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have always wanted to do that! I feel like the only bad thing about our dakotas are the brakes. If the line fittings are the same I dont see why not. But a problem I could see for some are the rubber lines. If they are cracked or dry it is posible with a little more pressure they could brake. But I think the pressure shouldnt be to much more. And posibly the brake buster would be a little weaker due to more force its got to do. But it may be the same as the rams. This will be my next project. Tell me how it goes. Maybe a 2500 master cylinder would work. I would love that!
