well i'm kinda torn with it....i've drove plenty of them that i love the powertrain, but i'm not a huge fan of some of the interior things....console shifter is my biggest complaint (only on certain models) and the storage bins in the side of bed i'm not too crazy about either.....hood doesn't open up very much too lol....i could go on and on lol

Don't like the rear coil spring suspension, great for a SUV, but not for a truck, othier wise the looks appear more like an up date of the 95 Ram. Glad to see the white faced gauge cluster is Gonzo !!! Over all I like the looks, but I'm more interested in the 2500.

i don't like it..... i LOVE it! as far as style is concerned, i think that the progression from 08 to 09 is not all THAT great, i mean, consider from 01 to 02, THAT was a change in style. other than that, i can't wait to need a new truck in a few years!

When the Ram went from 01 to 02 I thought, boo. I liked the GEN II better. But the GEN III grew on me. Unlike that comparison I like this one out of the box, no growing on me needed. One thing I am not a fan of though, the stationary grill. While it is probably more durable than the GEN III grills it will make working in the engine bay more difficult.

When I first saw a pic of the 09's I thought they were really ugly, But they have grown on me.

that seems to be the general gyst...it "grows" on us. i still don't like it, but maybe i will later...cause tons of engineering and thought comes into the design of a vehicle. i HATED the new cherokees, but now i love them.

It looks too much like they're trying to turn it into a car Nifty features like the ram box and the in floor bin for drinks but i don't like it I liked the gen 2 (mainly b/c of walker texas ranger :P) gen 3 i liked b/c of the 'mayor of truckville' campaign, and it originally looked like a big rig gen 3.2 grew on me with the huge headlights, i liked it after a few months of it being around but this current one... i don't know... something just isn't sitting right, visually with me... the console shifter is an absolute waste Truck = column shift for automatic or (center) floor shift for manual.... not console mounted automatic shifter... waaayyy too 'carsy' I don't know... I'm all for change most of the time... but i don't like this change...

Overall, I like it. In detail, here is what I like and don't: -PROS- Focus on higher quality interior -> more competitive with the competition, and like somebody said, makes the owner feel like he has a high-quality piece of advanced engineering Slanted "Charger-Reminiscent" grille -> anything that relates to the Charger is a plus in my book Bumper-Integrated Exhuast -> looks good but note it's also on my con list Aerodynamics and Sound Insulation -> related to higher quality interior, having a quieter ride (besides exhaust system) is pleasant, especially when listening to music or talking to people in the truck or on cell phone (p.s. pull over if it's gonna be a talker!) Bed Wall Storage -> the more weather-proof storage built in to the truck, the better. Virtually all other new features for '09 -> more features = more competitive on the market. There may be some things I'm not crazy about, but if it makes it more competitive against other new trucks, Dodge will be more profitable, thus continuing to make great and better trucks -CONS- Bumper-Integrated Exhaust -> over time, the heat will likely cause the bumper to get jenkity Hood-Free Grille -> harder to work on engine; truck enthusiasts work on their trucks, not just send them to shops where they don't care how hard they are to get worked on I really like the the idea of a light turbo diesel available for the 1500, it's just too bad they weren't available sooner. At first it was rumored the 2010 would be available with the Mercedes 3.0L Common-Rail turbo diesel, but then I saw someone it will have V8 turbo diesel, which is it? I think a smaller diesel would be better (for fuel economy; a lot of people drive trucks now and rarely haul anything), but an option for a bigger one would be perfect, for those who haul but don't need a heavier Ram.
