I'm still debating what to do with this clutch O' mine.

The guy who replaced my diff told me to avoid using the centerforce clutches because they wouldn't last as long. Since then, a lot of people have told me that the performance and "feel" of the centerforce kits are so much better that it's worth it to spend a little extra and maybe having to replace it a few thousand miles sooner.

Plus, I've got 120,000 miles on the truck, so I'm not sure if everything else will survive long enough to get to replace the clutch again. Although, I've seen a number of Daks with over 200k miles.

I can't make up my mind. What do you guys think?

i like chrysler auto trans,  if you put a shift kit in it and put two qts of rearend grease in it, change fluid and filter every 30,000 miles  it will last for ever.

I'm confused...

Do you mean use gear oil in my tranny and use an OEM clutch instead?

My truck has the 5 speed that requires syncromesh type fluid. Are you saying not to get the centerforce?

I wouldn't put anything into the equipment that's not recommended by the manufacturer.  Some people like to put all sorts of additives and magic elixirs into their engines and stuff...  Dodge recommends against it and there's very little evidence that it does any good.

As far as I know, Centerforce has a pretty good name and reputation in the business.  There are a lot of reasons why one guy might have recommended something else.  I think the installation job will determine how long a clutch will last as much as the clutch itself will.
