Centerforce clutch Longevity Question - 4/30/2008 11:02:12 AM    fivehundo   Posts: 58 Joined: 3/7/2008 From: Jackson, CA Status: offline I'm still debating what to do with this clutch O' mine. The guy who replaced my diff told me to avoid using the centerforce clutches because they wouldn't last as long. Since then, a lot of people have told me that the performance and "feel" of the centerforce kits are so much better that it's worth it to spend a little extra and maybe having to replace it a few thousand miles sooner. Plus, I've got 120,000 miles on the truck, so I'm not sure if everything else will survive long enough to get to replace the clutch again. Although, I've seen a number of Daks with over 200k miles. Do you mean use gear oil in my tranny and use an OEM clutch instead? My truck has the 5 speed that requires syncromesh type fluid. RE: Centerforce clutch Longevity Question - 5/2/2008 5:36:41 PM    JasonA Posts: 348 Joined: 3/24/2008 Status: offline I wouldn't put anything into the equipment that's not recommended by the manufacturer.  Some people like to put all sorts of additives and magic elixirs into their engines and stuff...  Dodge recommends against it and there's very little evidence that it does any good.
