first off, get rid of that air cleaner. it is sitting right above the exhaust manifolds and it is sucking in nothing but hot air, which is bad. as for off the line starts the only thing that will get the truck up and humping is a gear swap. mine was 1600.00 for a complete 4x4 swap. had the 4.10 gears put in. just recently installed was my zex wet nitrous system, you should go for that power when you need it. also the jet stage 2 chip works well in the 4.7 along with the 180 thermostat. i have endless mods done to my truck, alot money also but what can you do.

it's not like you own a sports car. It's a truck. Peel outs? Jackrabbit starts? Have you seen these gas prices today? You keep driving like that you'll go broke.

You open yourself up to a citation for drag racing ( a test of speed and acceleration). Save your money and drive normal!

I agree with superdak05, That intake is doing NOTHING for you but sucking up hot air off the engine. get a better intake. THere isNO cold air going into your intake at all... I also have the flowmaster 40. and i love mine. maybe some headers? idk if they have any for our truck... everybody says the fastman TB is awesome. I dont know for myself tho. and the t-stat

i dont drive with my hood on also what about mass air flow sensors i moved mine to read air flowing through a hose ran to the front of my hood ... i got a 4 mpg bump out moving the air sensor that goes into the intake ... and the super 40 is awsome .... i was thinking of going dual will my performance go down with 2 ?

Umm no hood? What if it rains?

I just put in an electric fan from flex-a-lite and WOW! Helped mpgs on tons as well as plenty more power and throttle response, particularly on the highway in passing and hill situations. Its like a new truck.

our trucks dont have Mass airflow sensors, i cant remember what its called i'm sure frenchy knows, or superdak... hot air still rises.. and besides its not a CAI anyways. a true coldair intake puts the intake near the tire where it catches cold air. but your more likely to get hydrolock. all of our intakes are short ram intakes. hood or no hood a better CAI would help you out. i believe jet has a website. try auto anything....
