well I sold the dak to a friend on the weekend for 6k she really likes it and atleast I'll beable to see it all the time still. and she sold her 96 ram she just got a month ago so she could buy mine:D

I think I'd rather sell my truck or car to someone who I had no contact with. I wouldn't want to see it after I sold it! It'd be like seeing an ex gf right after a breakup!!

ya, I hate seeing it all the time. its kinda like seeing an ex girlfriend:D but I know its gone to a good home and it will be taken care of. some guy offered me 8k for it, but I sold it to a friend for 6k just so I could see still see it all the time.

Well i guess that is good news for you. At least you know the girl will be taken car of. And if you play your cards right sounds like you will be able to drive it and maybe even get to work on her again.

i bought my 88 dak from my best friend (heavyk298 on this forum). i didnt really need another truck, but he was broke and i had 400$ so i bought it, that way he knew it would "have a good home", and plus i let him drive it now and then. its nice to know about your truck and visit it sometimes.

congrats man, it is a nice truck so good to see when you can sell to someone that will take care of all the hard work put into it. im still try'n to sell mine. but ive had 1 or 2 people come look a week so we'll see, just a matter of time i guess.

i would cry if i saw my old car...i know its not a dodge so dont rag on me but i had a 97 cobra mustang with a procharger, 410 gears, short shifter, bola side exhaust and a custon tune. it was dinoed at 497 hp at the wheels......to make a long story short i was hit by a drunk driver and the car was totaled...it was not even that bad but the body shot rapped me on the quote to fix it. $9200. i did not want a salvaged title so i let her go..i think i would cry if i saw some kid driving it. i took all my aftermarket parts off of it and sold them exept the procharger, which is going on my motor for my dodge when i get the money to build it.

ya, I was talking to her today and she said she was almost in 2 accidents..... by the looks of her old neon that lasted about a year and there was no straight body pannels left on it..... I just hope the dak doesnt look like that soon:(

aw dude. that was sad to read. :( and her neon is half the length of the truck!. ****. ;) jk man hopefully see babies it. at least you don't have to pay for the damages if she does mess it up. how's the new truck?

if you lived closer i might have sold mine to get yours...damn nice truck. one of the best daks on this sight as far as im concerned

thanks for the compliaments. I really miss the dak, I see it almost everyday. I'm still fixing acouple small stuff for her that I never got around to fixing. like the pinion seal and 4x4 selector switch. and I love the new truck, it has sooo much more power but its a lil bit harder on gas then the dak.


dualdakota, have you sold your other dak yet? I know theres a guy in london that still wants mine and wont stop calling me. he offered 8.5k but I think he wants a 4x4.

hey yahi still have mine up for sale. i had a guy look the other day with his son but never heard back. they seemed interested but you never can tell i guess. the guy didn't want to pay anything over 6k or so. i was like good luck try'n to find a decent dak for under 8 bud. lol.

i paid $7200 for mine. dont know about other areas but there are good dakotas here even under $6000. before i found mine there was an R/T for $5500 thati raced over to look at and probably buy but it was sold a couple hours before i got there
