Default Recall Question.......

I have a question about the recall process..... is it true that you have to have an alignment after the ball joints are replaced? Heard it somewhere, wasn't sure..... please let me know, thanks!

I'm no expert, but yes all ball joint replacments should be followed with an alignment. If your in the recall, this should happen at the dealer when ever they figure out what thier going to replace the old (garbage) ball joints with.

Good luck.

If it needs an alignment from the dealership after the ball joints are replaced, I would think the the recall would cover re-aligning your front end also ias the front tires will need re-alignment after the recalled parts are replaced?

NO, WE DO NOT DO AN ALIGNMENT AFTER THE RECALL IS PERFORMED. You only get your toe-in reset to spec. Do not confuse the 2, there is big difference between having the toe set and having an alignment. Replacing the upper ball joints will not change the alignment, if it is out of align after having the reacll done, then it was out of align before as well.
