Hiya - 4/25/2008 11:34:13 AM    BanditSam   Posts: 7 Joined: 3/11/2008 Status: offline Hi All, I've been lurking a while, and researching.  Took the plunge a week ago, and picked up an '05 QC, 4x4, with a 4.7 for a good price. Nice truck, and so far, so good.  Harder on gas than I like, but i knew that going in. Now, here's my problem.  It has a factory spare tire lock.  More like a winch lock, I guess, and the previous owner can't find the key. RE: Hiya - 4/25/2008 12:46:43 PM    BanditSam   Posts: 7 Joined: 3/11/2008 Status: offline Thanks Altair, It's a dealer item, so not tied to the VIN.  It's a similiar idea as a lug nut lock, not a true KEY.  Dealer says to cut the cable, and just buy a new winch, and lock.
