Hey guys how is it going?  I have a 98 Durango, and so far everything is great except this popping noise when i turn real hard.  Any of you gear heads have clue as to the direction i should go in to fix this problem?  It isnt that bad, but it obviously needs to be fixed.  Thanks again

Well first i'd say have your suspension checked. This could be ball joints/bushings etc. Also you cant tell play on a balljoint just bylifting the tire off the ground, the a-arm has to be raised via jack etc etc

Yep, sounds like an average ball joint.

O.K., well now i'm still puzzled because i had the upper and lower ball joints replaced last spring, along with the bushings.  Any more suggestions?  I was thinking maybe tie rods or something, but what do I know.  haha  I'm a noob at mechanics, but my dad was able to teach me a few things before he passed away.  I love working on vehicles, well my own anyways.  I put some Westin Step Bars on late last winter, but that was pretty simple.  Thanks guys for all your help.

Is your D 4wd?  It could possibly be a CV joint.
