Finally got the correct TB for my truck from the Fastman and swapped it out on Monday.
So far I've noticed a big increase in low end torque, and also the tranny shifts gears faster now and keeps the RPMSs a little higher while shifting. At first the engine idle was all over the place after the swap, and almost stalling. I reset the trottle range and that seemed to do the trick.
Didn't seem to gain anything on top end when I wind out the gears, but around the side streets I've noticed more power.
Has anyone else with the TB noticed a change in tranny shifting? I want to make sure that it's normal and won't kill my tranny somehow in a few years...

if you did not reset the computer then it will take the truck some time to learn the new paramiters. waht size did you go with. i went with the 70mm because of the cam kit. should take the truck 200 or so miles to learn everything. you may need to recalibrate the shift points also. simple to do find a long stretch of road were you can wind it out, and not get a ticket. come to a complete stop and put lever in low 1, start of slowly and when it reaches about 4000 rpm shift it into second and mash the gas. when it hits 4000 again shift into drive. this will learn paramiters also. its all how you tell the computer you want to drive. i do it evrynow and them because of bad gas.

I actually like the new shift point - it feels a lot more powerful now that the RPMs don't dive way down when shifting.
for instance, if I were to roll thru a stop sign and the truck downshifts to second, once I hit the gas to go again the truck would kinda slowly go thru second in very low RPMs versus shifting down to first.
Now with the TB the ROMs come right up in second and the truck goes!! It's great so far.

just an FYI for those thinking of getting the TB - there are two versions of the throttle body for our trucks(at least me year, an 05) - the noticeable difference is one throttle body has two sensors, one small and one big, and the big one has only one torx screw. the other throttle body has two small sensors, both with two torx screws holding it in place.
I found this out the hard way. be sure to specify this to Dan when ordering.

I want to eventually get a Fastman TB, but what is the difference between the two you are describing?

you have to look at your TB and see if it has 2 sensors, or just 1...  not too tough.

actually they both throttle bodies have two sensors - one throttle body has two small sensors, and the other throttle body has one small sensor and one big sensor. The one with the small/big sensor is the one on my truck. Per Dan Arcand, the TB with the same sized sensors is more commonly found on our trucks. I have the oddball...
BTW my throttle is still all over the place, but it's been fun anyways. I love the solid acceleration and quick gear changes from 1st thru 3rd.
i think i lost a little top end though

the "standard" TB size from Fastman for our trucks, which I think is 68.5mm........
visually, besides the new being cleaner and fancier looking, I didn't notice the difference sizewise...
but the truck notcied the difference immediately
