3.7 Quad Cab 2 Wheel - 4/23/2008 4:08:16 AM    BigODodge   Posts: 7 Joined: 4/23/2008 Status: offline Guys, I'm new to the forum and need you advise. A local dealer has a 08 SXT quad cab on sale for less than $19,000. Is has power window, locks, cruise and other nice options. It does have the 3.7 V6 with 4 speed Auto, with 3.92 gears. What your opinion, I fear the 3.7 might be too small for this size truck. Thanks BigODodge Post #: 1

With $8,000 in rebates and $3,000 off dealer. I have a 07 Jeep Commander with the older style 4.7. It seems to run fine, my wife's car and I have driven it much. I think I'll look for V8 4.7 or 5.7. I would go with the 4.7 but that is just me..  you go with what makes you happy after you toss down that much coin. You be suprized on how many of us would get the 3.7 next time around read this poll let it help you make up you'r mind. They normally go for around $32-34k so thats like $12-14 off mrsp.  They are lone star and look sweet. But thats just my opinion.  The best deal I saw on the lot was a Hemi 4x4 QC on 20's with leather for $24k!  By the way I bought an 08 reg cab SXT V6 for $18K on 22's and sat radio. With the rims, it was $16k but if u get the basic 08 ST reg cab, it ran for $10k with manual V6. (in reply to marv02) Post #: 11

I bought a 2008 quad cab 4X4 TRX with 4.7 with anti spin rear, towing pkg, TRX PKG. I thought the 4.7 ran nearly as fast as the 5.7. I couldn't see the extra money for the 5.7. The 5.7 is going to be upgraded in 09, with 380 HP and 404 lbs torque. The 4.7 has already been upgraded to 310 hp. Hope I don't regret it, its my first dodge.
