ok, so i searched a few threads and i know about the front 2 T-bars. my truck sits about 2 inches lower in the front then the back (its a 4x4) and i would like to crank the T-bars and raise the front more...but is there a way to raise the back up too without buying a lift, i would like to lift it 2' all the way around if i could? anybody have any input, thanks.

There is a few ways to lift the rear. Like lift blocks. $20 kit. Add a leaf $20 kit. Air shocks $80. Air bags $200Add a leafsprings from a larger truck. For example I have a rams 2500 rear springs. It lifted it. Shorter shackles $20 kit. There is no simple tricks like the front. But there is plenty of cheep tricks.

i cranked up the torsions and added coilover shocks to the front and airs to the back. if your going to be hard on the truck off road i wouldnt recomend the airs. once you raise the truck get it aligned

do you crank the torsion bar bolt all the way tight or do you have to measure and see if you got the 2" lift?

i did this a long time ago and i ended up cranking them to max to get 2" out of it. also did it to my dads '94 chevy 1500 4x4 to level it off

yeah, i think im going to crank the T-bars to level it off then put a 2" body lift all around. with the body lift, will i have to worry about the wires being stretched? do i have to replace the wire harness or anything like that?

No you dont have worry about wires or brake lines or fuel. everything will flex enough. The engine fan shroud will have to be modified. Just make a spacer bracket! easy! OH yea the best part about the install besides the looks is you will gain lots of more room in the engine compartment.

lol, engine compartment room=good and sounds easy enough. you dont happen to have a pic of the bracket that has to be made, do you? (seeing as though you lifted your truck)

No unfortintly I dont because I switched to electric fans before that! But I did put a kit on my cousins truck, which was incuded. Look for some pics for a body lift for a 97 or so chevy 1500 4wd.

I have heard of adjusting the T-bars before but personally dont know how/where the adjustment is at. Does anyone have a pic or can they tell me how to find them? Thanks

dont just crank them up, if the vehicle is out of square in anyway it will sit crooked. use a tape and count rotations as you crank the nut. if it was sitting level you want the same turns on the nut each side.
DukeSupes behind the front wheel, follow the bar back and look to the side of it for a large bolt. turn the bolt in and the truck goes up.
