OK so the engine light comes on today. I did the ingnition switch trickand I get a PO 340 and I am told this means-No cam signal at PCM no fuel sync. What exactly does this mean in english?????

It means you won't get fuel... Because you won't be able to synchronize you cam and crank.

Sounds like a dead or dying cam sensor. No big deal to change for themost part

not sure what engine you got but i took 10 mins to change the sensor. it took me longer to find it then to change it.

With a 3.9 its under the distributor cap. Looks more like a pick-up coil than a cam sensor, but...

Does the cam sensorhave a different name? I was gonna order one but I can't seem to find it on the autozone or o'riley's website under that name.

Might be distributor position sensor maybe? They are pretty much the same... Id try cleaning it and see what happens...

Anybody got a pic so I know what I'm looking at? This is my first Dodge so I don't know a whole lot about them.

This is assuming you have a 3.9,5.2 or 5.9

You mentioned in an earlier post cleaning it. What exactly should I clean it with? Being electronic Iprobably don't wantsoak it in WD-40 correct?
