Superchips 3950 - 4/21/2008 8:51:27 PM    morfoot   Posts: 62 Joined: 1/7/2007 Status: offline Has anyone heard anything about this new Superchips #3950?  I have an '08 Ram 1500 and an '06 Charger, both with HEMI's.  It said it would program both vehicles...is this true and is it worth it?  I'd be willing to spend $500 bones for something that will tune both my vehicles.  I've heard the Predator is supposed to be better, but from what I've seen you have to buy two to program both my vehicles. Any help on this matter would be great.  I thank you all in advance. RE: Superchips 3950 - 4/22/2008 6:26:41 AM    MangoInTX Pat & Amandas Wedding Fund Contributor Posts: 2676 Joined: 4/10/2006 Status: offline I just looked at the 3950 on SuperChips site, it doesn't seem to have any advantages over the 3825 except it covers the RAM and LX platform 5.7 motors.  SuperChips has a good programmer, but the 3825 & 3950 doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a Predator. SuperChips and like tuners have are licensed so you can only tune only one vehicle at a time.  If you plan to tune both at the same time you will need to purchase one programmer for each vehicle.  To use the tuner on another vehicle you must de-tune or what they call "return to stock". RE: Superchips 3950 - 4/22/2008 10:39:03 AM    morfoot   Posts: 62 Joined: 1/7/2007 Status: offline Mango I knew you would be the one in the know.  I don't mind having to de-tune the Charger to tune the Ram.  I can only drive one vehicle at a time, plus the Ram is the wifes and she doesn't need it special.  I'll have to look closer to see what you mean by all the "bells and whistles" cause I don't wanna sell myself short when I'm buying a toy such as this. (great if your using a lower than stock t-stat) MDS on/off - Nice for going to the track and running without MDS enabled. Torque management on/off - It completely disables Torque Management. Rear O2 sensor delete (or disable) - if you upgraded to headers this is handy because most headers throw Rear O2 sensor DTC codes. Ability to get a custom tune. (in reply to morfoot) Post #: 4
