Has anyone else upgraded the software on their MyGig to version 9.713 and had any issues with it? Mine was running fine on the prior version, which was I think 9.561. Now with 9.713 it will just occasionally power off when I'm driving and come back on, and start off on the song that I started on when I started the car. It's frozen up a couple times and took a few minutes to recover then had to restart. Are there any known bugs in this version that anyone knows of? I'm getting fed up with it and about do downgrade back to the prior version.

Hi TheDeak08, That (Obviously) is not normal operation and I have not heard of anyone else experiencing those issues. Since that is the case I would assume that you have a corrupted install especially since it was working fine before the install and that the issues you are having are uncommon. I would recommend re-downloading the software ver 9.713, and reinstall it. If the problem persists after the reinstall then run the HD corruption fix Version 9.799 ( http://mofv.com/mygig/HDFix9799.htm ) then follow up with 9.713 again. I keep hearing from people that they do not have the same symptoms listed on the HD corruption page so they don't think the HD corruption fix should be installed but the fix can be used for other hard drive corruption issues and freezing/locking up are both symptoms of data corruption in the MyGIG radio. It doesn't necessarily mean your hard drive is bad, just that the data was written to the HD was not perfect during install or that it became corrupt after the install.

I've actually already re-installed it a second time, so it looks like I'll go straight to that fix for the HD corruption and then will re-install again. I haven't updated the gracenotes, but seriously doubt that has anything to do with it.

One more question...is it possible that a corrupted load could be due to loading the software from a CD-RW as opposed to a CD-R? I don't see why it would make a difference, but when I updated the gracenotes last night, I tried to burn them to a DVD RW in Nero Express and got a write error several times. But when I used a regular DVD-R, it burned and updated just fine. Has anyone else tried using a CD-RW to update the software?

I just had a similar thing happen to me for the first time today. I was listening to songs on the HDD and than shut the car off to go into a shop. I came back out, started the car and everything seemed ok except no sound. I switched to FM, no sound. I switched to the DVD player, no sound and the same for the Nav. No sound. I shut the car off and restarted and nothing. About 15 minutes later after coming out of another shop, it worked fine again. No clue as to what happened or why. I upgraded to 9.713 about 2 weeks ago. The HDD shows the correct space left on it.

OK, and update. Installing the HD corruption fix version 9.799 and then re-installing 9.713 didn't work. It has contined to shut off and turn back on and it's driving me nuts, so I'm re-installing the prior version 9.561 which was working without a flaw. Hopefully it will again.

I just had a WIERD issue on the drive home tonight. I was lisening to Howard Stern, I kept losing the signal ...My drive has a lot of trees, but for whatever reason it seemed to be really bad tonight(for example I usually only lose the signal is 2-3 places...) So, after losing audio a few times I quite paying attention... then I lost the signal, and a few second later the audio came back, but it was spanish music!! So the sat radio changed from station 100 to station 92 by itself..... First time this has happened....

I hope one of you has some advice, because I'm getting really irritated with this MyGig system. I bought a used Avenger RT just a few weeks ago and have had every issue listed above, and then some. The first thing I noticed was that the satellite presets occasionally all revert to the same weather station when I turn the car off. The next thing that started was the annoying habit of losing the spot in the CD book I'm listening to: it starts at the beginning of the book every time I turn the car off and I have to manually find the correct chapter and FF through it until I get back to the right spot - not a quick process. Usually I have to eject the CD just to get the system to recognize that it's in there. Music CDs don't appear to suffer from this glitch. Occasionally the whole thing just freezes up and is totally unresponsive to the touch screen (although the mechanical buttons still work). Other times, there's no audio. The last two issues seem worse when I have Bluetooth enabled and connected through Uconnect. I have no idea what version I'm running or how to find out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
