I just wanted to say that I got my plugs changed out for the Autolite 3923s everyone seems to like so well.  I do notice my engine doesn't seem to run as harshly.  Hopefully it will net me a little better fuel economy.  Funny thing was the plugs I took out were all different gaps, I think I saw .040, .043, .045, .050 all in just six plugs.  The manufacturer tag under the hood says .040 is what they should be gapped at, take some workers at the factory were just to lazy to get them right? Might I also mention that the plugs are and absolute pain the the ass to get at?  Those things were down in so deep I had to use a huge extension to get at a couple of them.

I think the next thing is going to be an intake, they say to stay away from chrome because it generates heat but they cost a good $150 dollars less than k&n's on ebay.  I'll probably just go with k&n because I know I can trust it even though i think you are paying a good chunk just for the name on the product.  After that I think I am going to give my truck to my dad's friend from his work he can do dual exhaust on my truck with custom bent pipes and stainless exhaust tips for around $250 to $300.   Then I want to do a stage 2 jet chip. I'll get this little ST going if its the last thing i do!

Btw... does anyone have a set of factory wheels and tires or know where I can get a set cheap.  I kind of want the 17" chrome clad with some tires that have good tread life left.

the autolite 3923 plugs are great for the magnum motors. you will see a difference in the long run. as for the factory ones not gapped correctly, this has been an issue with the 05 and up dakotas. wether they are too lazy to gap them or they just cant read english while putting the motors together. i am also looking for a set of 17 inch chrome clad rims for my dak. just took of my 20's did not like them

hey superdak I am looking at buying a set of 20" wheels from a ram big horn edition, they come with the tires and only have 400 miles on them.  tires are 275's, will they fit our daks?

no they wont. i had 285 50 r 20 and they rubbed, went to the 265 50  r 20 and they fit up and down but had an issue with turning. they rubbed. i went back to the factory 16 x 8 until i can get some 17 or 18 inch rims. 20 inch are nice but not worth the hassle. also having a 6 banger, the truck wont be able to get out of its own way.

I love the way K&Ns work but the price tag is a little hefty.  I think next month I will be getting my bumpers color matched and I'll be taking my truck down to an auto shop in Stuart, Iowa to see what the guy down there can do for exhaust work.  I think I'm gonna switch the muffler out and have the resonator removed.  I want to get a jet chip stage II sometime down the road also.
