I just recintly bought a Base 91 daytona 4 cylinder 5 speed. At the time the speedometer was not working but the mechanic which I bought it from fixed it up.</P>


It has been about 2 weeks with no problems untill now. Today the speedometer decided not to work for 5 minutes or so. Then it started working again. Any clue to what would be going on to fix this?</P>

Sounds like a connection isn't totally secure... did your mechanic tell you what the problem with the speedo was to begin with?

Actually no. But I did find the "AllPAR" forums and looks like there is a commen problem with the Speed sensor. Gonna look into it when the weather is warmer.

HAHA!! <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley36.gif border="0"> I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at your problem because I've had the off and on working speedo in my Shelby Z since I bought it about 7 years ago. What an annoyance it is, but I never bothered to go any farther than having the speedo gear changed which did nothing. Let us know if that solves your problem. <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">
