I have a '99 durango slt that has a loud hum or rubbing noise in the front passenger side. It occurs from about 5mph-25mph and then stops. It also stops when the brakes are applied. Has anybody heard of this? any help?

If it stops when you press the brakes, then I would start there. Sometimes, the brakes on my 2001 make a little noise at certain speed ranges, but then stops once the brakes are engaged. It could be a warped rotor touching the pad. It could be something totally different, but it'd be worth a look.

A hum is usually assossiated with a wheel bearing going out.
