The cheapest way is to buy your own muffler(s) and have a shop do the piping.

Reminds me of.... my truck!! 9, thats right, nine, exhaust clamps. Woo hoo!!
And the answer is, yes, one day I will do a real fix on the exhaust. I'm closing on my new-to-me house, than gotta get a lawn mower, than I can get stuff for the shop (air compressor and welder are the first things!) Than I'll get the piping and fix the exhaust.
I can't wait to get my truck back...

Hey, what are you going to be in the AF?
I know about losing the shop (same story here). But, eventually you'll make it up the ranks, get a little bit of money, and you'll be able to find a house and build your own shop. Right now I'm at the very beginning of those stages .

It is OT.. but I'm ok with it, lol.
Hmm... Metals Tech huh? Yea, some of our guys keep 'em busy with stuck screws and what not, although I'm not familiar with other aspects of their job, just what I use them for, haha.
I'm a 6 yearer too, almost half-way through, but I don't mind it. It's not a bad gig, especally if your just looking for a job straight out of HS. You also put on E-4 sooner than 4 yearers too, that is, unless you screw up like a few people I know...
